MOUNTED ASSURED POSITIONING, NAVIGATION, AND TIMING (PNT) SYSTEM (MAPS)

Description

MAPS Program of Record is a platform-mounted, ruggedized tactical PNT system giving Army forces the ability to move, shoot, communicate, and providing situational awareness in space-based GPS limited or denied environments. It distributes PNT data to multiple clients (e.g., Blue Force Tracking) on a single platform, eliminating redundant GPS receivers and antennas. MAPS consists of a receiver, an anti-jam antenna, and associated installation kit components.

Benefit to the Soldier

Provides GPS anti-spoofing and anti-jamming capability through sensor fusion algorithms and non-Radio Frequency (RF) sensors to distribute trusted PNT data, allowing Mounted Soldiers to operate where military GPS is denied or degraded.

Maps Gen II

  • Next Generation Capability
  • Provides increased GPS protection capability via sensor fusion algorithms and non-RF sensors
  • Anti-jamming and anti-spoofing protection
  • Sensor fusion processor utilizing multiple PNT sources
  • Open architectures (ASPN and VICTORY standards)
  • Outputs PNT through multiple distribution standards (IS-GPS-153D and VICTORY)

Maps Gen I

  • Quick-Reaction Capability delivering the “fight tonight”
  • An integrated solution including an anti-jam antenna, ensuring access to GPS in a denied environment
  • Provides resiliency in Multi-Domain Operations
