The APNT Open Innovation Lab is a state-of-the-art, innovative laboratory that enables Academia, Industry, Government, and other organizations to collaborate with Army Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) on future capabilities and solutions. The OIL will allow for further coordination when it comes to demonstrating, assessing, and developing technologies. Ultimately, the OIL will facilitate the verification and compliance testing against the PNT RA and MOSA standards.

PM PNT has teamed with U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC, DEVCOM) to create the OIL. The OIL will allow PNT Modernization to collaborate, assess, and screen potential PNT solutions from an array of technology sources. These technology sources may include, but are not limited to, defense/technology industry partners, small businesses, academic institutes, and other government agencies.
